How do I choose which section I take?

Students are strongly encouraged to enroll in a section within their assigned residence. In most residences, multiple sections will be offered at various times, and students can select which one works best with their schedule. Students should select a section for which they can fully commit to attending the entire quarter, given that Frosh 101 and Transfer 101 sections meet only once per week. The Enrolling in Frosh 101 / Transfer 101 page will be updated in mid-September once dorm section times have been finalized.

What is the workload for the course?

Frosh 101 and Transfer require attendance at a weekly 80-minute section and active participation during the class. Students will also be expected to complete short readings and reflections throughout the quarter.
