Enrolling in Frosh 101 / Transfer 101

Main content start

Course enrollment—including for Frosh 101 and Transfer 101—for new students will open during New Student Orientation in September. Any students interested in Frosh 101 and Transfer 101 are welcome and encouraged to enroll.

Since Frosh 101 is a residentially-based program, students are encouraged to enroll in a section within their assigned residence; there are unique course codes for each house in which frosh can be assigned. Transfer 101 will be hosted within Kimball Hall. The 2024-25 course listings for Frosh 101 and Transfer 101 are linked below:

In ExploreCourses (Stanford's official course catalog), please note that when viewing Frosh 101 and Transfer 101 course listings, the meeting patterns (i.e., days and times) for all sections for 2024-25 are placeholders. The schedules for all Frosh 101 and Transfer 101 sections will be finalized and updated in ExploreCourses by Friday, September 13.

Lastly, enrollment limits for individual sections of Frosh 101 and Transfer 101 are designed to keep group sizes and discussions intimate; however, any students interested in the course will get a spot. If a section appears full once enrollment has opened, add yourself to the waitlist and you should get into the course within 24 hours.
